Based on the trust surveys we conducted from July to November, the data indicated that Kamala Harris had been steadily improving her trust levels among voters both nationally and within key demographics such as white male voters in Pennsylvania. Key components like Competency, Communications, and Integrity showed consistent growth for Harris, suggesting she was gaining momentum and potentially had an advantage heading into the election.
Despite these positive trends for Harris, Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election. This outcome suggests that while trust levels are a critical factor in electoral success, they are not the sole determinants.
The Optimal Trust Framework analyzes the 2024 Presidential campaign, focusing not on who voters prefer but on which candidates they trust more and why. It also provides strategies to help candidates build trust with specific voter groups.
An analysis using the Optimal Trust Grid indicates that, as of one week before the 2024 presidential election, Kamala Harris has gained a slight advantage over Donald Trump in voter trust levels both nationally and among key demographics. Harris's improvements in communication, competency, and integrity have strengthened her position, suggesting she may be favored to win, though the race remains close and highly competitive.
